Aarushi goes on a Field Trip

(PIC removed)

With her friends and teacher. She loved the monkeys in HK Zoo and also the orangutans. But she asked,"Why are they shouting?" :)

Friends and Mamma

Yesterday I had to go to Arunav's school for some volunteering. I rode on Arunav's school bus. Before going, I told Arunav - Mama will be with you in the bus today so you may have to sit with me and not Reet. He sulked first and then cheering up said, No no - I can sit with Reet and you can go all by yourself - how about that?
Hmm - I am happy he is growing up but there's a small corner where I miss him wanting to be with me all the time!

Our Radio Station and Black's Link Walk

(PIC removed) I was going to the doctor's with Arunav and Aarushi in a taxi. After a while the taxi driver turned around and said to me,"You are a good mother. If I had a non-stop Radio like the one you have, I wouldn't be answering him at all - you are giving an answer to everything he is saying!" That was one big ego-kick I got for in my vision I am a monster always after the Radio's life "eat fast, chew, wash properly..." ;)

Those are some lovely moments we had last Sunday on a walk with friends - kids had tons and tons of fun and so did we :)

Eden Gardens, Oranges and Cricket Matches

These are the 3 things which symbolise winter for me. Today there is a sudden chill in HK air and it is making me feel so nostalgic that I can hardly do any productive work - line up all winter clothes of the kids, smell them, check if they still fit, etc, etc.

The strong and yet soft beautiful golden winter sun is not helping matters.... I can still remember my school days, so young, so full of Kapil Dev(yes, you can guess how old I am)....and devouring those matches in Eden Gardens, the tangy smell of oranges being peeled and the cheer of the crowd...

"And the leaves that are green turn to brown...."

Kids dont need much

(PIC removed) and we all know that and still land up buying a houseful of toys which are occassionally touched! Once the new shoes were out of the box, the shoes did not excite them as much as the box - what a world full of possibilities!
