Kota Kina Balu

It was warm sun, blue skies, glittering sea, thundersqualls in the afternoon and pure fun in Kota Kina Balu. We spent hours on the beach and pool. Arunav enjoyed a lot with his friends too. Now we are back with fun-filled memories and sunburnt skin.
Things I did for the first time: Jet Ski, Kayaking
Second time: Parasailing.
Kayaking was good fun because I could do what I want.

Arunav's sister Aarushi

Tai Po Waterfront Park. Arunav was teaching Aarushi to play ball. He also wanted to teach her how to jump and catch a flying disc - unfortunately his parents intervened :)

Today he told Aarushi,"Never step on a book." When Aarushi grabbed a screwdriver and would not give it to Arunav - he desperately looked around and called out to me," Mummum give me something to give to Aarushi so I can take the screwdriver from her." :) Life's sweet moments!

Thank God time - one hurdle crossed, millions to go :)

We applied to 3 big international schools in HK for Arunav and he got an offer for place in all three....it truly is such a Thank God time! In 2 of them the interview was one hour long and in another he came out in exactly 10 minutes' time. We thought the 10 minutes' interview was an indication of 'bye-bye' - but he got a call from that one too. Now we can choose to go in the one he likes and we like. I really did not believe in Arunav's school principal when she very confidently told me that Arunav will easily get through any school he goes for an interview....hmm talk of parents' worries!

Yesterday we went to this place called Tai Po Waterfront Park. We love playing and running in the grass. We(Arunav and Shyam cycled, I ran alongside) also cycled for 1 hour - at the end of it Arunav gobbled up any food he could lay hands on and immediately slept for 1 whole hour. I love to see that - tire them out so they consider eating and sleeping "basic necessities" and not "battlefront with mommy"

Home Sweet Home(always) for Arunav

Today Arunav had a lovely playdate and Arunav's mother enjoyed too with her friends.

However, while walking back home, as soon as Arunav reached Birchwood complex he was rejuvenated and said (these were his exact words) "It's nice at friend's house but it is so great to be home." :))
