Arunav completes 1 year

Time really flies.....I did not realize how fast till this moment when I am looking back on the past year. I cannot believe Arunav is 1 year already and yet he is...he has 6 teeth, is making feeble attempts at walking(not really interested in it), can open doors of all the rooms in our house and sneak out, demands attention and so many more things have changed. My first haircut - I hated them fiddling with my head! Posted by Picasa

Working Mommy - good, bad, ugly?

I have started full-time work and it is a job which I can make it very regular by doing mundane stuff and I can also opt for the ambitious ventures which gives me more visibility, more importance......BUT stretches my working hours. I am by nature ambitious, I have achieved what I have achieved by dint of that - today reality is if I am ambitious my baby has longer hours in the daycare. Is it good? What should I do? Will I lose touch with my baby if I nurture my ambition now - or should I give up my ambition and do more mundane work. My heart says give up - my nature pulls me towards the money, power and glory that comes with high profile job. I am giving myself 3 months' time to decide.

Chinku and Tinku

At Narita - byebye time on 31st July. Chinku managed to get Arunav 'standing on his own feet' for 30 seconds on Saturday! Arunav has become really lazy and will just not stand up - he prefers all fours.
I wonder whether someday Tinku will ask Chinku "Are you 6 years' of age - then you can get admitted to my school?" or are kids these days much smarter? I had asked that to my uncle(well into his 20s) when he had asked me(aged 6) how he can get admission to my school...... Posted by Picasa
