A disease

is not only "a disease". Specially one like cancer, is like a systemic disturbance introduced into an otherwise seemingly stable system, to stress-test it for robustness. It shakes the system, pushes the system to its farthest limit to see whether the structure stays or it fails to pass the test. Does it crumble under the pressure? Does long-hidden stress points, fault-lines in the structure, create gaping holes and the structure falls to pieces, or it stays, it survives.

It is an earthquake - a slow, tremorless earthquake.

It shows the reality of relations, which sometimes can be distorted reality due to the pressure - but sometimes it stares in the faces of participants - mocking at them and saying "look at me, face me, I am the real reality, not the one camouflaged by smiles, long-absences-that-can-hide-reality".

Do I want to believe in the fairytale story of the sunrise and sunset where the sun goes to his beautiful home to sleep and dine, or should I open up my mind to truth and accept that the sun neither sets, nor does it rise?

In that belief, lies consequences which are far reaching...........too far!

"To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;"

Indeed "to die, to sleep, to be, not to be...." Sweet my child, what shall I do for thee?
