Held a charity sale for a family - Arunav's class mate whose father passed away in cancer leaving behind 2 very small kids and wife.... was uncomfortable receiving compliments for doing that small little thing.

these little things make such a difference! the compliments are well deserved; it is understandable for you to feel uncomfortable receiving them. Makes the gesture even more commendable!
