The better story
Is it the truth?
Or did I delude myself
into believing this story
this myth
to be the truth?
Did I delude myself
into believing because
the real truth
was too bitter and harsh
for me to live with?
It ached and pained,
it hurt and killed me
to accept the bare
truth.
So I live with this
delusion
It is a better story
But somewhere inside
I know it is 'a story'
bienque it is a better one......
A story it still is.
